TERM click HOW TO APPLY FOR MORE INFO Thursday School or our Ballet School
Founder
of kidz on the Hill is Lou Turner. I spent my childhood working in the business as a child actress then
at the age of 21 years I attended Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts, graduating in 1998. After a short career
in theatre and tv I attended Arts Educational in Chiswick achieving a (BA) Hons in Performance Studies. My teaching career started when
I was asked to work as assistant choreographer on the stage production of 'The Wiz' at The Beck theatre in Hayes,
from then onwards I have choreographed/directed many musicals and gained most of my experience at Mountviews
Musical Theatre
Saturday School for children aged 6-18 years. Alongside my teaching role I worked on the foundation musical
theatre courses for adults in Mountview Academys Community and Access Department. My Kidz on the Hill's
journey began back in 2008 and has now become a huge part of my family life. I am very proud mum of 3 who offers
children in this part of town excellent quality classes in all aspects of performing arts. Kidz on the Hill is great
fun and our teaching approach is chilled and interactive, where every child has a voice and is encouraged to
develop at their own pace. We perform often at the end of each term to parents informally then every July we put on a show.
This year we are performing 'Little Urban Annie' at The Bull Theatre in Barnet 21st July 2013.
'I want to make available to children of all
ages, fun, exciting, cool and non competitive quality classes in street dance, singing and acting. My
approach to performing is fun and offers every child a voice to express themselves freely.'
